“The Zwarte Cross was one of the most beautiful festivals I’ve experienced in the past twelve years,” Sanne said. “I could stand ten meters away from the main stage. It was so much fun and a great experience.” 

Her friends were so moved to see her standing that they decided to set up a crowdfunding campaign so that she could buy her standing wheelchair. “We are going to do everything we can so that she can continue to do this,” says her friend Monique. “This should not be a one-off event for Sanne.” 

They received the money within three days; from now on, Sanne can stand whenever she wants!

Sanne: “It’s special that I can now look into the pan while cooking. I haven’t been able to do that for 12 years with my other wheelchair.”

Hi guys, It’s Hannah. I have been asked by KARMA Mobility to talk about my wheelchairs and the experiences they have given me. 

I have had a wheelchair since I was tiny, and now have 3 different chairs for different occasions (1 being a KARMA wheelchair). Without a wheelchair, I would have no life. I would literally be stuck in my house all the time, with nowhere to go and no big dreams to dream.

Traveling to sunny places is my favourite thing to do, and having my manual chair has made this possible. I have seen many countries and lots of my favourite sandy beaches, my KARMA chair is definitely up for this challenge.

It is also important to me, that my chair feels comfortable but looks cool, you know? I would always make sure I had the coolest looking chair to go with my style.

KARMA focuses on a future where everyone can have a wheelchair that is right for them. This makes me so excited for mini me’s and the future of wheelchair users. Their page also helps discuss funding, which I know is a big part of it.

My wheelchair is freedom, it is me, it gives me equal and endless opportunities.

When we first saw Amar Hong’s Instagram profile, we had to know who this stylish lady was!

“My grandma grew up in China during World war two. When she was 10 years old she was separated from her family and came to Thailand alone. She got a new name “Hong” from her neighbor who lived in Chinatown, Bangkok.

This year she turned 83 years old. She’s a hard worker and also kind to everyone. Last 9 years her knee has become painful and our family decided to buy the Karma Ergo Lite wheelchair because the material and the weight is very light to carry with one hand.

A trip to Japan!

Grandma and our family enjoy the trips everywhere we visit because the size and weight of it makes it easy to move from a car, airplane and any transportation.

Exploring Europe with the whole family.

In 2016, grandma had knee replacement surgery because she had bone to bone contact. But after surgery around 5 months, we had a long Europe trip for 22 days and that’s really fine. Grandma has wonderful times every trip, even in rain, slippery floor or hillside……everything is alright!!!”

My name is Mahmood Al-Haiki, 27 years old. I am having a movement disability since my childhood. Currently, I am working as a Marketing Officer in Hospital.

Since I was little, my father and brother have been my greatest supports against all those who don’t believe my ability to achieve anything I want to do, because of my disability. When I was younger, I was once inspired by Nick Vujicic’s speech and his story deeply, then I started to challenge myself to live the life I want.

Now I cook, I drive, I even ride horses. Among all these amazing things, discovering the world is my favorite hobby. I have been using Karma S-Ergo 305 for a long while. It not only makes my traveling much easier, but it also makes transportation in my trip faster and convenient.

I have been in a wheelchair since I was injured 8 years ago.

I replaced my last wheelchair with a Karma S- Ergo 305 one year ago. I like it a lot. It is hard for me toe self-propelled, so when I need to get around, my family and friends help me out. For this reason, I was looking for an easy to push wheelchair.

I do have one suggestion for S-Ergo 305. In order to enhance the comfort of long term sitting, I would prefer to have pneumatic tires on both the front and rear wheels. The main reason for this is that I don’t often stay outside alone for long duration, so I have no worries about getting a flat tire. In my opinion, the pneumatic tires would fit my needs better.

I  had a test run  of an Ergo-stand recently. My arms are too weak to use a manual wheelchair, so I want to own a power wheelchair in the near future.  Ergo-stand is a power wheelchair which provides a function to help users stand up. With this function, the users are more free and confident in social situations. I was so touched after the test. It has been a so long since I last stood up, I almost forgot how tall I am.

My daughter spends a lot of time outdoors which is why I was determined to find a wheelchair that can help me become more independent, just so I can spend more time with her.

I have been using Karma’s AT-20 since my accident.

This wheelchair is very portable, mainly because it can be moved around quite conveniently.

I can move around easily whenever I’m seated in my AT-20; I can maneuver myself indoors on my own and when I’m outside I have a caretaker to help me push.

The person standing beside me in this picture is my daughter. I think she gets her curly hair and sweet smile from me!

Recently I accompanied my daughter to her school on Sports Day with Karma’s brand new KP-30… My daughter spends a lot of time outdoors which is why I was determined to find a wheelchair that can help me become more independent, just so I can spend more time with her.

When I’m on the road with my KM-AT20 I feel like I can go anywhere.

I am currently using Karma’s KM-AT20, and it suits me nicely.

When it comes to wheelchairs, I have been rolling around with Karma custom-made ones for a really long time. I have tried the KM-8520, owned the KM-AT10, and now progressed to my current KM-AT20.

The new AT-60 can be shifted around with way less effort, but due to the fact it is less transportable than my current AT20, I did not consider it to be a viable option.

I prefer my wheelchair to be easily portable otherwise I will have a hard time fiting it inside my car trunk.

When I’m on the road with my KM-AT20 I feel like I can go anywhere. I can move around with ease and the AT20 can even take me across small gaps! It is a great tool for transportation and a great helper.

Some time ago one of my friends gave father a wheelchair, but unfortunately it wasn’t the very comfortable according to him. It was then that I decided to find my dad a wheelchair that he can be fully satisfied with.

The first time I saw the brand ‘Karma’ was when I was browsing on the web. I phoned them up to ask for more detailed information about their products and the professional attitude of their customer service still remains on my mind until this day. I went to their dealership and they suggested that I try out the S-Ergo 105. I was amazed by the quality of the wheelchair and the ergonomic seating. We purchased it right away.
